The Tzoumerka or Athamania Mountain range are located in the southern part of the Pindos mountain range, the largest mountain range in Greece. They are one of the two main massifs of the mountain range and define the area of the National Park of Tzoumerki, Peristeri and Arachthos ravine. If something characterizes the trip to Tzoumerka, it is the intense geomorphology with the wild and imposing mountain peaks, the wealth of water with the rivers and waterfalls, the rich forests of fir, beech, chestnut and many other trees as well as the large alpine plateaus. That is why it is called “the heart of Pindos”. If we add to these, the dozens of authentic and remote villages with their few elderly inhabitants, with their history and traditions, they constitute a unique cycling destination.
